Our AI Sense algorithm works best with modern phones that feature a decent Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), barometer aka pressure sensor and GNSS. Our reference devices are from Google Pixels Series - especially Pixel 4a, Pixel 6a and Pixel 6.

We hope this video is informational especially to those pilots who currently don't have these type of phones in use. To no surprise, older phones have older hardware and while some might work out and might seem sufficient to some pilots, other phones will just fail. This might be frustrating to accept but is simply due to the fact that quality of hardware and integration in phones just improved a lot in the last years.

This is a quick check at the capabilities of our variometer apps focusing on the instant vario capabilities. We will name this the 'Brettltest' since we are currently taking some time of and don't have our setup for development and testing with us. In the, end what matters is whether a vario or vario app provides you with the information that matches what you are experiencing with your glider while paragliding. No fictive test setup can reproduce that in a representative way. Testing highly unrealistic might point to implementation details but not relate to reality.
