Ethics management is the sum of efforts taken to create public servants’ ethical sensitivity and consciousness in performing their duties. Public servants therefore need to know the basic principles and standards they are expected to apply to their work and where the boundaries of acceptable behavior lie. Professor Jin-Wook Choi, Korea University, Republic of Korea, addresses the questions: Why do top leaders in the public sector have to pay attention to employees’ ethics at an individual and organizational level? What are the consequences if an organization fails to manage ethics in the workplace including productivity and performance? What are the key strategies to manage and improve individual and organizational ethics?
