Helle Temagami Knife Review

The Helle Temagami Knife was the first collaboration between Les Stroud of Survivor Man fame, and Helle of Norway.

The Temagami features a handle that is suitable for mid to larger sized hands, and a blade that is about 4" long.

It is made from Helle's laminate steel and is available in either stainless or carbon steel variants.

The laminate steel features 2 kinds of steel; a hard core that ends up along the blade edge that holds an edge extremely well - if the whole blade was made out of that hard steel, it would be prone to being brittle because it is hard, so they laminate softer steel around the core to allow for flex.

The Temagami is a full tang knife, but because of the way it's designed, the wood of the handle wraps around the bottom part of the tang which is actually kind of nice because in cold weather, you don't have cold steel up against your palm when you are using it.

It features a made in Norway leather sheath, and is an excellent, robust general purpose outdoor knife.
