MARCH 30, 2018—Welcome to our first #JOYRIDE video!

This is our very first YouTube video with this new format. This and the others that will follow soon will be under the new category, "Ride Along with Us" (#ridealong) that we also recently introduced.

Our #JOYRIDE videos are essentially mostly actual trip footage captured by our vehicle's dashcam (from one of our road trips), body cam, or handheld action cam. It can be of a trip ON LAND, ON WATER, BY AIR, or BY RAIL. The bulk, if not the entirety, of the video footages are of the trip itself and the sceneries along the way more than of us, although from time to time you may see some snippets of us taking selfies or short video clips of each other.

As you can imagine, some of these trips can be quite long. This particular video, for instance, has a running time of close to 40 minutes although the entire trip itself is approximately 1 hour and 23 minutes.

We intend to show the entirety of our trips as much as possible but it may not be practical to do it in a single video per trip. Therefore, we try to cut our trips into logical segments. This particular video (Legazpi-Donsol), for example, is just the last segment of our Manila-Donsol road trip. Also, in most cases we try to speed up the video footage, anywhere from 1.2x to 3x, also to shorten the total footage length. Mostly, the video speed will be 2x actual.

We also try to put in as much information as possible into these #JOYRIDE videos. We hope that these information will be useful to you for your own trip.

We understand that this format may not be suitable for many — maybe even most — viewers. If you are one of them then that is fine. Just skip it. Rest assured that we will continue to publish more of the same travel videos you have come to get accustomed to on this channel. We also try to improve them as we learn new video editing best practices and techniques.
