CMC "LEVR" Escape System - Victim Rescue Demo

This video is NOT intended to be used as a Training Tool. It is simply meant to highlight one of the many deployment options of the CMC "LEVR" Escape System.......

The "Byrne Technique" demonstrated in this video is used when a Victim needs to be extracted and the Rescuer anticipates they will need to escape immediately after the Victim is removed, but recognizes there are no safe anchoring options available. As a result the Rescuer needs to keep their Anchor Hook available in order to secure their system and safely exit after the Victim. Out of the two main options of using a system for Victim Rescue the 'Byrne Technique" is the more challenging and involved of the methods we teach, but it does have advantages...…..

OK now for the DISCLAIMER: Using an Escape System for Victim Rescue is not condoned by NFPA standards or the Manufacturers of these types of systems - It is a technique used in Extreme Situations when all other avenues of Rescue or Escape have been exhausted or are unavailable. The methods shown in this video should NEVER be attempted in an actual emergency without first receiving proper instruction and extensive practice.
