Greetings,
Foot Hygiene In Diabetes | Urdu | Dr. Shahid Nadeem | Medical Advice
Diabetic patients can have sores on their feet at any time and it is very common to get pus in this wound. If it is not treated in time and the sugar is not controlled then the turn comes to amputation.
Today I will give a lot of good tips to diabetics which they can use that not only can protect the feet and prevent cuts. First of all, I would like to explain why diabetic foot injury is seen to be worse.
In fact, because of the high blood glucose, the veins in the patient's feet begin to be damaged slowly and eventually die. On which the doctor tells the patient that you have diabetic neuropathy. The second reason is the decrease in blood flow in the feet.
Having high blood glucose in a diabetic patient reduces the blood vessels, especially the narrow veins of the feet, and the flow in them is less than normal. Yes, the infection gets worse and worse, due to lack of blood, the parts of the feet start to get dead and finally it is time to amputate the feet.
Here are some rules you can follow to protect your feet, prevent injuries and even cuts.
The first thing a patient should do is check their feet daily.
Turn the foot over and see if there are any dry parts, there are no wounds. There is no redness, there is no pain. All this should be done daily.
In addition, he should wash his feet daily with lukewarm water.
I advise my patients to wash twice a day, but you must wash at least once. Dry it, apply any good lotions, moisturizing cream or any good oil on the feet and take care not to apply it between the toes. Apply the rest on the upper and lower feet everywhere at least once a day.
Also try to softly remove the callus that develops on your feet and do not delay it too much. If you can't see the foot to monitor, get help from a friend or close friend.
You should trim your toenails regularly. It is important that you carve it out carefully. If your hand is not rubbing against the foot then you can get help from someone. From a relative, family member but it is very important that you cut your nails regularly. Also keep the socks or shoes on your feet whether you are at home, in a casual mood, in the office. Wear socks wherever you are. Wear shoes and never walk barefoot.
Another thing I would like to tell you at the end is that the diabetic patient has to maintain the flow of blood in his feet regularly and how to maintain it.
Here are some exercises for diabetics that they can do at home. When diabetics are sitting on the sofa at home or anywhere, they have to move their feet slowly in different positions and at angles. This keeps the blood flowing and wipes it regularly in different parts of the foot and no dead tissue develops there. These exercises keep the blood flowing in the feet and keep them healthy. If you follow the things I have said today, not only will your feet be in good health, but they can also prevent you from getting injured, damaged or cut.
