This is a project that focuses on visiting different McDonald's in different countries. The purpose of this project is to order a McDouble combo while also exploring different menu items (unique) in different countries.
The Big Mac Index has long been an indicator of income disparity across the world. Inspired by this concept, I’m creating the McDouble Index, a series where I travel to McDonald’s locations around the world to compare the price, taste, and unique offerings of McDonald's in different countries.
I visited McDonald’s in Indonesia, and the combo included:
McDouble
Curly Fries
2 chicken wings
1 small sprite
Optional sauces (free): ketchup, chili sauce
Total cost for the entire meal was about 17 Singaporean dollars, which is about $13 USD
Notes & Observations:
the McDouble burger was breadier than usual, the bread was fluffier and thicker, I felt I was eating too much bread
Love the curly fries, really well seasoned, would definitely order again!
Chicken wings were okay, would not order again
Sprite was Sprite, nothing out of the ordinary
I did notice that McDonalds was jam packed at 11:00 pm, lots of people, yeah the audio isn't the best (oops!).
The meal was on the higher end which is expected since its Singapore (higher cost of living)
