Hey y'all, I'm Tammy and this is Collard Valley Cooks! In this video, we're sharing how to cook a delicious chicken dish. We start by demonstrating the butter melt process, then move on to preparing and frying the chicken until it's golden and crispy. This easy cooking method will have you making perfect chicken fried every time!
MASTER COOKBOOK RECIPE 511) Butter Fried Chicken
 boneless skinless chicken breasts
or thighs
 1/2 cup salted butter
 chicken seasoning, if salty go light on table salt
 1/2 onion, chopped
 salt
 black pepper
 flour
Score chicken pieces with a crisscross pattern, about 1/2 inch deep. Season with salt and pepper. Coat the chicken lightly with flour. Melt butter in a preheated skillet. Fry chicken on medium heat for 4 minutes per side. Increase heat, add chopped onion and an optional seasoning, and brown for 1-2 minutes per side. Total cooking time is 10-12 minutes. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165°F in the center of the breast.
