Well, as frequent thesubstream contributor and filmmaker Matt Brown explains in this video, a recce is a great way to help you figure out just where the hell you're going to shoot your masterpiece. It's basically a location scout... a fact finding mission. Or if you wanna get technical, it's reconnaissance work (after all, that's what recce is short for).
