In the first video of a three-part series, UTComp founder and CTO provides an overview of the technical foundations for updates proposed for the API 579-1 / ASME FFS-1 Fitness-For-Service standard. Once approved, Part 16 — “Assessment of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Equipment” — will provide FRP asset owners with an agreed-upon set of engineering tools to reliably assess in-service FRP equipment quickly, safely and non-destructively.
The three-part video series includes:

• Video 2: Non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods for FRP
• Video 3: In-service inspection
