The war in West Asia continues to escalate on multiple fronts. Israeli defence minister has issued fresh threats to Iran, stirring tensions in the region. He said that Israel is planning a lethal attack that will surprise Tehran. This comes after Iran's recent ballistic missile attack on Israel. One of Israel's closest allies and its biggest security backer, the US, is seemingly unaware of Israel's revenge plan. Yesterday, US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke for 30 minutes, however, the White House did not reveal any details regarding their conversation. The US is currently evacuating Americans from Lebanon as Israel intensifies its offensive in the country. In response, Hezbollah is launching retaliatory rocket attacks on Israel. The Gaza crisis, too, continues to worsen as Israel steps up its strikes on school shelters and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
