I enjoyed doing this song - the more I heard the song, the more I go into it. It has such a lost/bereft/crestfallen feeling about. From what I have read, Gary Numan envisaged a situation where he or someone was the last machine on earth and there are no humans left. I do not proclaim to being an expert of what this song was supposed to mean, but I have done a few searches on the internet.

I would be interested to know what is said at 1 minute 37 seconds - there are some spoken words - does anyone know what is being said? Is he saying "What is going on here?"...I am sure someone will know out there.
