The prospect of a world bereft of any signs of civilization as we know it has always stirred a morbid fascination in us. What if thousands of years of human cultures, technological advancements and societal norms were to one day become obsolete and humanity would have to learn to crawl before it could walk again? This could happen in a number of ways.
