Foroige's Big Brother Big Sister Bee Initiative

Foroige's Big Brother Big Sister programme is a youth mentoring programme that forms supportive friendships between a young person and an adult volunteer.

They meet once a week for 1-2hours, however due to Covid-19, matches (volunteer & young people) are having their weekly meetings via video calls and phonecalls.

The BBBS programme is running a national project with volunteers and young people to set sunflowers & other seeds that help promote healthy bees.

BBBS staff have been sending out seeds to all our young people and volunteers and asking them to update us weekly on the growth of their flowers throughout the summer months.

World Beed Day was the 20th May and I am delighted to be helping Foroige to publicise this iniative
