This episode of The Common Reader podcast is a little different. I spoke to both Julianne Werlin and Jeffrey Lawrence about literature, politics, and the future of the academic humanities. Questions included: what do we mean when we talk about literature and markets? Can we leave politics out of literary discussion? Should we leave it out?
