ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Monica Forbes (she/her), NCPRSS/CRC-Supervisor, MA, is a person in long term recovery. She is the CEO/Administrator for Recovery United, Inc. which operates four recovery community organizations across Idaho. She holds two degrees, (in Medical Assisting and Social Work) and is a Subject Matter Expert on Recovery Support Services with the Opioid Response Network. In addition to her Recovery Coach credentials, Monica is also a Peer Support Specialist, an Idaho Department of Corrections Free2Succeed Mentor, NIDA Addiction Policy Forum Trainer, SMART Recovery Group Facilitator and CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) Interventionist. She volunteers on several boards and committees in the community. As a three-time Accidental Opiate Overdose survivor, her passion is working with individuals and community stakeholders to affect systemic change and remove barriers to long-term recovery.
