PPS International has developed Rigid overhead conductor Rail and its associated fittings with the highest quality standards complying all the latest International standards.
Several metros in India are operating on 25KV AC traction system on both viaduct as well as in the underground tunnels like DMRC, LMRC etc.
To install 25KV AC flexible overhead catenary system (FOCS), tunnel has to be made quite large hence, to overcome the problem of making large tunnels, Rigid Overhead Catenary System (ROCS) is the most commonly used method of providing 25KV AC traction system, in which no separate catenary wire is required, hence tunnel diameter can be reduced.
Rigid overhead conductor rail with 107 Sq.mm contact wire is used for the traction system, which is capable of taking large current upto 3500 Amp due to large cross section of conductor rails.
