In this Carolina Digital Phone Training video series we provide a complete overview of configuring music on hold for a business VoIP phone system.
This video explains what callers hear when a call is placed on hold or waiting in a call queue and how music on hold can be applied at different levels. Music on hold can be set for individual users, assigned directly to call queues, or configured as a default for the entire organization through the Music on Hold tab in the Manager Portal.
We demonstrate how organization-wide music on hold is used as the default when no custom music is assigned to a user or a call queue. The video shows how to upload new music files by clicking Add Music, selecting an MP3 or WAV file from your computer, naming the file, and uploading it to the system.
You will also learn how to manage multiple music files, including arranging the playback order using drag-and-drop or enabling random playback. Additional settings are reviewed, such as enabling or disabling music on hold, randomizing tracks, and adding an introductory greeting that plays before the music begins.
Finally, the video shows how to download music files, rename them, or delete them using the available management icons.
