My buddy dropped his 2024 Street Glide after a low-speed tip at the gas pump — no major damage, but the bike wouldn’t start after. If this happens to your Harley, it’s likely the Tip Sensor (Bank Angle Sensor) kicked in and shut down ignition and fuel.
We walk through how to reset the system and get it running again.
🔧 Reset Sequence: How to Restart a Harley After a Drop
Turn the ignition OFF completely.
Set the kill switch to OFF (Run position).
Wait 5–10 seconds (gives the system time to reset the bank angle sensor).
Turn the ignition back ON.
Put the bike in neutral (important).
Start the bike as usual.
💡 If the bike still won’t start, check your error codes or consult your dealer — sometimes the bike stores a crash/fault code.
