Game Over: Metal Slug 3D (PlayStation 2) (Death Animations)

what's going on, my fighting game crew, this is axel here, and we have an very fun metal slug video for u guys today.
alright, today's video: 2026 in a lot of way is the year of metal slug's 30th anniversary. u know, the franchise is came out in april 19th, 1996. however, did u know that one metal slug game is got existed for 3D style is does have all death / failure animations like 2D neo-geo style? that's right, the japanese-exclusive PS2 game, metal slug 3D includes its own set of death animations, which are consistent within that specific 3D title.
however, metal slug 3D is a spin-off that fundamentally differs from the mainline, 2D sprite-based games, and was developed by a different team. it uses 3D character models and different mechanics, so, it's death animations are not the same as the extensive, highly detailed 2D pixel art animations found in the classic titles like metal slug 3.
the game was only released in japan, so, there were no different regional versions (e.g., north american or european) that might have had content removed or altered. therefore, the single PS2 version available contains all the death animations designed for that specific 3D game.
so today: here's all death / failure animations for one of the best & worst spinoff games in the metal slug series, "Metal Slug 3D" on PS2 version, l'm including main game with every characters & mini game with prisoner (u know, ‪@classicgameover‬ is got it the video for game over animations of MS 3D in 2 years ago. and even ‪@SolitaireDeuce‬ too, cause, no one is getting uploaded for this game on all death animations until now.). so, if u guys want to see more metal slug video content in my channel, just let me know.

Metal Slug, also called Metal Slug 3D to distinguish it from the original Metal Slug is a third-person shooter run and gun video game developed and published by SNK Playmore for the PS2. it is a spin-off of the MS series and is the first game of the series to be presented in 3D. none of the original Metal Slug team were involved with the title.

The game had no definite title when it was first unveiled in tokyo game show in 2004. in E3 of 2005, SNK Playmore revealed the game to be called Metal Slug: Evolution, but it was later changed to just Metal Slug.

The game was released only in Japan on June 29th, 2006 due to mostly negative reviews from critics. Despite this, it contains texts and menus that are mostly in English, as well as English voice acting. Japanese subtitles and dialogue are also available.

The game takes place in the year 2032, a year after Metal Slug 5 and before Metal Slug 7. Series antagonist General Morden becomes allies with Oguma, president of Oguma Enterprises and world leader of technology. Because this alliance could only stand to further strengthen Morden's military power, Marco Rossi, Fio Germi, Tarma Roving, and Eri Kasamoto set out to dissolve both parties. Recurring boss character Allen O'Neil also returns to oppose the player.

Metal Slug 3D has received mixed reviews. NTSC-UK gave the game a 2 out of a possible 10, citing its poor graphics, barren environments, and overall boring gameplay. Edge scored a 5/10: "It's a glimpse of something special waiting to happen, of a no-nonsense attitude towards combat that could be developed into a series worthy of the torch that it has chosen to bear".
