Fairy Door Discovery #3

While putting up Christmas decorations at the Piqua Public Library, we made a curious discovery.

We found a very tiny door... and a note.

A week later, we found another small door.

Now, a third door has appeared!

We don't know where the tiny doors are coming from, but they all came with a note when they arrived.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

OH, MY GOODNESS! HELLO! It’s so NICE to meet you! My name is Poppy. I’m a Christmas Elf, and I’m SO excited to be here. It’s AMAZING in here - WOW! It smells so good, sugary and cinnamony… I love cinnamon, the spice, and my best friend is named Cinnamon! So, what is your favorite cookie flavor? I can’t decide between Snickerdoodles, Gingerbread, or Sugar Cookies… oooh, also, Chocolate Chip or Peppermint Chocolate Cookies?!?

Oh, sorry, I can get carried away... let me introduce my friends! There’s a lot of us! The girls are Cinnamon (my best friend), Ginger, Dulce, Maple, Cocoa, Godiva, Hazel, Plum, and Clove. The boys are exploring around here somewhere… their names are Fig, Heath, Chip, Pez, Taffy, York, Mike, and Ike (Mike and Ike are twins!).

We were helping Santa in his workshop when Cocoa noticed this beautiful door… she’s always finding pretty things like shiny rocks… ooh and four-leaf clovers….

Anyway, she found this really pretty door, and as soon as Mike and Ike saw it, they ran over, opened the door, and hopped inside. We couldn’t let them go alone, so we followed them… we weren’t expecting a beautiful Christmas Library to be on the other side. This door must be magical!

Santa probably needs us to get back to the workshop at the North Pole… but would it be ok if we came back to visit? There are so many wonderful things to see here, and we LOVE storytime! So what’s your favorite story? Mine is a tie between…, oh, Cinnamon says we have to get back.
