Welcome to Shooting Stars’ vibrant production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie: Teen Edition! 🌟

This uplifting, high-energy musical tells the story of Jamie New, a teenager from Sheffield who dreams of becoming a drag queen. Despite the challenges he faces from bullies, teachers, and his own insecurities, Jamie discovers the courage to be himself with the support of his loving mum and loyal friends. Together, they show that self-belief and acceptance can outshine even the toughest obstacles.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie: Teen Edition is a specially adapted version of the West End hit, created for young performers. It keeps the heart, humour, and dazzling energy of the original show, while being perfect for youth theatre groups and schools.

With music by Dan Gillespie Sells (of The Feeling) and a script by Tom MacRae, this joyful and moving musical celebrates individuality, diversity, and the confidence to stand tall and proud. Its central message — “You don’t have to be ordinary, why be ordinary?” — continues to inspire audiences of all ages around the world.
