A manhunt is underway for Adrian Pani a 36-year-old man who police believe stabbed two men on an Auckland bus.
Two men were stabbed on a bus on Monday night. A 59-year-old man died and a 51-year-old man underwent surgery on his hand on Tuesday morning.
Pani and the victims were on the number 76 bus travelling from Glen Innes towards Ōrakei at the time, police said.
A search warrant was done on Tuesday morning at an address with the armed offenders squad but Pani was not located.
Police warn that Pani is dangerous and should not be approached, but anyone with any information about his whereabouts should call 111.
