After taking a week off, the band end off the European "Hot Space" Tour with four shows across the UK. This is the first one, also being the first of two outdoor shows. The planning of these UK shows wasn't all that easy, since earlier plans by the band had to be changed for various reasons: Originally, this show was intended to be played at Manchester United's Old Trafford but residents feared that the show would be too loud late at night so the already given permission was revoked despite tickets already having been on sale! Similar complaints were voiced by the residents of Leeds but the band was able to negotiate with the police to ensure this show could take place. Tonight, both "Back Chat" (which would turn out to be one of the best band performances ever!) and "Sheer Heart Attack" are added back to the show with "We Will Rock You (fast)" reclaiming its No. 2 spot for all four remaining shows. The usual improv after "Love of My Life" turns into the only hint of "Keep Yourself Alive" on the entire tour - the song wouldn't be added back until 1984.
