Welcome back to our story. This is Part 2 of our mother-daughter breast cancer journey—one we never imagined walking together.

In this chapter, Mom has started radiation, and it’s hitting her hard. She’s sick, exhausted, and pushed to her limit, but she’s still fighting every single day. I recently had my double mastectomy with reconstruction, and trying to heal in a hotel was overwhelming. So we made the tough decision to head back to our RV so I could rest, and Mom went to stay with my niece while she goes through treatment.

This Thanksgiving brought one bright moment—I finally got all my tubes and wound vac system removed. For the first time in weeks, I’m starting to feel a little human again. But the truth is… I’m tired. I’m not my usual happy self. We’re both worn out, stretched thin, and doing our best to keep moving forward.

We’re sharing this journey because so many of you are walking similar paths—or loving someone who is. If our story brings comfort, strength, or even just a sense of “I’m not alone,” then it’s worth every vulnerable moment.
