Buying Famous Bharuch Salted Peanuts (Khari Sing) + Inside Jalaram Indian Peanut Factory in Bardoli.

This video is in 2 parts, the 1st part (00:00 to 03:17) is buying the very popular and famous "Baruch Peanuts" from one of the many hawkers & vendors who serve the drivers & car passengers waiting to pass through the "Narmada Bridge Toll Plaza" (Bharuch, Gujarat, India), in this particular instance we were on route to Vadodra.

The 2nd part (03:17 to 11:47) is a special glimpse into the peanut making process at Jalaram Dana Chana Shop in Bardoli, Gujarat, India,

Have you ever wondered how those tasty Indian Peanuts get made? Like you, for many, many years I've often wondered about how the delicious Indian peanuts are made, this was my first ever look inside an Indian peanut factory and it was absolutely not what i had imagined or expected.... when i walked into the heat of the peanut production room it was like a scene from the medieval dark ages, with a bubbling cauldron and the workers toiling away in an extremely hot & dusty atmosphere.

After i came out of the production room every part of me was covered in a dusty soot, my clothes, my glasses, hair, video camera. Like i said not what i had expected at all. May God Bless the Peanut Workers and Sellers!!!

It cannot be easy selling on the road, dodging cars & motorbikes, breathing in traffic fumes risking life & limb just to earn a daily living.

This video is a very privileged & special look at the Indian Salty Peanut (Khari Sing) manufacturing process and hopefully this video conveys some of the very hard work and effort required in producing these "World Famous" peanuts (Sing Dana).

The dry roasted peanuts get processed in the factory using age-old methods.

Ancient recipe methods & techniques are used to produce the tastiest of dry roasted peanuts, the final taste is down to the Mati (Clay / Sand) that is used in the manufacturing process, the Matti (Black Sand / Clay) used contains 5 Main Ayurvedic elements (Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth) that the human body consists of, the manufacturing process involves a very high heat of 200 degrees and in that process the natural elements are transferred into the peanuts.

In the actual factory, you will also see that the Mati gets heated to such high heats, so much so that the sand bubbles and looks deceptively like boiling water bubbling, it's worth saying that the work these guys do is some of the hardest work that i've ever seen in my life, working in extremely high temperatures and dusty atmosphere.

The "World Famous" and delicious Indian Karasing Dana (Salty Peanuts) are ubiquitous in the Indian Sub-Continent and can be found being sold on every street corner by street food vendors, hawkers and shops alike.......you could say that they are a little taste of India in every bite. A trip to India would not be complete if whilst in India i didn't get to eat some of India's world famous Dry Roasted Peanuts (Dana)

The peanuts are much more healthier than fried peanuts because they are dry roasted, the peanuts have just the right level of saltiness that a peanut should have, are moreish and very, very yummy, be warned that they can be seriously addictive.

You will not get more freshly made than this!!!
