Maxine goes rogue once again, this time on the viral Mushroom Guy! Facing a dauntingly complex order, I test out a technique to make it easier to sew the giant mushroom cap to this critter's head without compromising the shape. Will I be happy with the result and finish it in time for my customer?

"Bamboo pins" for sewing amigurimi - So, these are actually cocktail/martini picks! You can get wood ones in bulk, or metal ones in smaller packs to keep small pieces in place. I like the wood ones better than metal ami sticks because they're small and the wood grips the fabric and stays put better, but I'll link both!

The hook I used for Mushroom Guy is a Tulip Etimo Red crochet hook. Tulip hooks are slightly more expensive, but I like the pointy tip that is angled slightly back and slides under those back loops more easily and efficiently.
