Prayer («Δέηση») for ascertaining the fate of the missing [since the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974] and for the return of the refugees to their ancestral homes
was offered by His Eminence Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou. The service was held at the Holy Church of Saints Cyprian and Justina in the village of Meniko,
under the Metropolis of Morphou, as part of the pilgrimage excursion for retired residents of Morphou, organized by the Municipality of Morphou on 7 May 2022.

God forgives sins like a murder and an abortion.
How could He possibly not forgive being forced to take a vaccine?
• He forgives abortion but not being forced ...
The great peril for the salvation of our immortal soul is that "suddenitis" strikes "suddenly" and doesn't wait patiently for the moment of our repentance — as our all-good and man-loving God does.

His Eminence later followed up by saying:
"Experience [with people confessing for taking the COVID vaccine] has shown that
the three prayers of St. Basil are not necessary, except in extreme cases.
It remains at the discretion of the spiritual father and confessor whether to use them or not.
A simple prayer of vaskania and the absolution prayer read at every confession by the spiritual father are enough."
