UPDATE: I had it wrong, my beep means it is good, and no beep it's bad. Another way to check if you have an actuator on hand is to unplug the wire from the top of the axle housing and plug in the NEW actuator. Turn car on and see if message is gone, if gone then that is the one that needs replaced. If still a message put the plug back to the one inside the axle and try the front axle...again if message clears then it's that axle. Of course both could be bad in which case checking the wires from the FDCM as shown is the BEST method.
