The Proper Seat Position For Drifting

In today's video, I will be covering the proper seat position for drifting. This seat position can also be applied to driving, racing, and a lot of other motorsports.

The most important thing is to ensure you have a strong stable seat that can hold you tightly. When you are drifting and cornering the car is going to throw you around unless you have a solidly mounted seat. having a strong seating position can help you handle the car better when you are in drift.

The seat needs to be set up as low as possible to prevent your helmet from hitting the roll cage if your car is equipped with one. This may mean that you have to slightly recline the seat to fit if you are a taller person.

Harnesses are another important part of the equation. You want the harness bars mounted so the harnesses sit horizontal to your shoulders. This will help prevent the chances of compressing your spine.

The most important factor is the driver. The seat should be adjusted for the driver so the driver feels in control.
