Curtin University Professor of Global Futures Joe Siracusa has suggested Russian President Vladimir Putin has “gotten everything he wants” and wants to “do business” with the United States in an effort to remove sanctions.
“The Americans are not going to bet any more money on Ukraine; Ukraine has lost the war; it’s going to have to cut the best deal possible,” he told Sky News Australia.
“There is a moment for Putin where I think he’s just going to cash in his chips – there’s no more to gain.”
