Even the heavenly realms arent safe from Dukka. 🥀
In this morning’s class, we discussed on how Acharya Nagarjuna delivers a powerful reality check: even the highest realms of existence are temporary. The gods (devas) may enjoy eons of bliss, but eventually, the “5 Signs of Decay” appear. Their halos fade, their garlands wilt, and their brilliance dims.
The tragedy isn’t just that it ends—it’s that the pain of losing such intense bliss is worse than the suffering of hell. And without new virtue to sustain them, the fall back down is inevitable.
Don’t aim for a “heavenly” life that fades. Aim for liberation that lasts. 🙏
