Vigilance officials in Sathya Sai district have nabbed a man involved in manufacturing fake cement bags and supplying adulterated cement under the names of leading brands such as Ultratech, Maha Cements, and Bharathi Cements. The accused was found to be mixing fly ash and other low-grade materials to produce counterfeit cement, which was then packed in duplicate branded bags to mislead buyers. Authorities seized the fake bags and raw materials during the raid, exposing the scale of the racket. The operation was carried out after complaints from traders and consumers who suspected substandard cement being sold in the market.
