The Making of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969) follows James Bond as he infiltrates the alpine headquarters of his arch-nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who is posing as a benevolent allergy specialist while secretly plotting a scheme to unleash biological warfare through a group of brainwashed women. Along the way, Bond meets and falls deeply in love with the troubled but spirited Tracy di Vicenzo, whose relationship with Bond brings an emotional depth rarely seen in the series. After thwarting Blofeld’s plan in a dramatic assault on the mountaintop lair, Bond marries Tracy, only for the film to end in one of the franchise’s most shocking and tragic moments when she is killed shortly after their wedding—cementing the movie’s reputation as one of the boldest, most emotional entries in the James Bond saga
