In this week’s update, I dive into an unusual API deprecation in Microsoft Graph - the Shifts Management API, which used a now-deprecated (and somewhat hacky) header called MS-App-Acts-As. The good news is this header is being replaced with clearer, more conventional API calls like approveForUser and declineForUser, aligning with the rest of Microsoft Graph's patterns.

I also took a deeper look into what's new with AI model support in Visual Studio. Microsoft has introduced new model options like Anthropic and Gemini, with easier switching and usage tracking. There’s also a useful write-up from Visual Studio Magazine breaking down the capabilities and strengths of different models - definitely worth a read if you want to fine-tune your AI setup in Copilot.

Finally, I highlight a comprehensive blog post covering all the Azure AI announcements from Microsoft Build. It’s a great resource for catching up, especially on naming changes and new features you might’ve missed outside your regular focus area.
