The George Formby Statue

The George Formby Statue was moved today and is now located in the centre of the Grand Arcade Wigan. Members of the GFS were invited to celebrate and to entertain the vistors to the arcade. A GFS concert was performed by the members and the president of The George Formby Society Gerry Mawdsley gave a speech before the unveiling. The statue was unveiled for the second time by members of the society's committe and a gold plaque is now located next to the statue.
This video shows some of the pictures that were on show through out the day and also pictures of the statue itself.
