EPIC Renovation (+ Knicks surprise) for Resilient High School Basketball Star | George to the Rescue

In this slam dunk Season 16 George to the Rescue episode, George Oliphant and his team support Ridgewood, NJ high school basketball star Johnny Jackson — a resilient teen who refused to allow 4B Hodgkin’s lymphoma and rigorous chemotherapy sessions to stop him from dominating on the court.

During his unprecedented and inspirational senior season, Johnny broke Ridgewood High School’s all-time scoring record, surpassed 2,000 career points, and helped lead his squad to their third sectional championship in four years. Thankfully, Johnny is now cancer-free. To honor his resilience and support his next chapter, George, designer Julie Kantrowitz (JK Interior Living), contractor Rob Tell (RJT Custom Builders), Joe McNeill (iTEC Consultants/Hi Solutions), Johnson Fitness & Wellness, Jay Feingold (PremierGarage/The Tailored Closet), and others teamed up to transform the Jackson family’s decrepit garage into a stunning home wellness studio.

Additionally, George to the Rescue teamed up with Garden of Dreams to surprise the Jacksons with a once-in-a-lifetime New York Knicks experience at Madison Square Garden. Johnny met his basketball hero, Knicks captain Jalen Brunson, as well as Karl-Anthony Towns and the rest of the 51-win 2024-25 team.
