Air Rescue (PAL) SEGA Master System Complete Soundtrack CD

Air Rescue is a Sega arcade game released in 1992 (which runs on Sega System 32 hardware). A Master System game of the same name was released later in 1992, but had little in common with the arcade version. The two games are similar to Choplifter, which Sega had adapted into a hit arcade game, but it never reached the success of the original, and the Master System version only came out in PAL territories with the music having no optimization for 60Hz, which means that what you hear in this video, is how the game is intended to sound, booting it in 60Hz will play too quickly and there's no Game Gear port to prove me wrong.

Yoko Wada often credited in games as (Nasubi) is one of the finest music and sound composers on the Master System and Game Gear. She was the main composer in nearly every game developed by SIMS CO. back in the early 1990's for Sega's 8-bit systems and her work is brilliant as it is in this game. She loved using that standard sound driver for the Master System. Air Rescue's soundtrack for the Master System is fantastic! More of that prominent beatboxing sound we all know and love accompanying well composed tunes.

The tracks on the CD were recorded a very long time ago, long before I knew there was a hidden sound test so I just recorded what I could at the time which explains why the last 3 tracks were left off the disc.

Tracks 1 to 6 were recorded from an original PAL SEGA Master System model 1 console using the AV composite outport on the back, it was then beefed up further with a stereo equalizer to boost the bass and treble, after that it was carefully transferred to a recordable audio blank CD-R disc and played back in the SEGA Mega-CD II attachment to a PAL SEGA Mega Drive model 1 console.

Tracks 7 to 9 were recorded straight from the game's hidden sound test menu from a Mega EverDrive X7 running on a PAL SEGA Mega Drive model 1 console.
