Supplies
1. 2 chux ( for bedside table and underneath the patient)
2. 3 set of gloves (1st set of gloves to clean front of patient, 2nd set of gloves to do buttocks and 3rd set of gloves to clean up supplies)
3. 6 small washcloths (3 washcloths for the perineal area: soap, rinse and dry/ 3 washcloths for the buttocks: soap, rinse and dry)
4. 1 large towel (to cover client's legs)
5. Basin
6. Soap
Critical Element Steps
1. Washes genital area, moving from front to back, while using a clean area of
the washcloth for each stroke
2. Using clean washcloth, rinses soap from genital area, moving from front to
back, while using a clean area of the washcloth for each stroke
