We planned to visit the West Coast, but severe weather closed all the roads, so we changed plans last minute and headed to Queenstown and Wānaka instead. After settling into our hotel, the rain kept us indoors, but the next morning we explored Queenstown, grabbed a classic breakfast, and of course stopped by Fergburger — a must-try!
Wānaka was super windy this time, so we couldn’t spend long by the famous tree, but the views were still beautiful. We also had a lovely surprise visit from friends before making our way back the next morning. Even though this was a short and unexpected trip, the drive was absolutely breathtaking — this part of New Zealand feels magical every time.
