For your 3DS XL protection, I submit this grilled cheese sandwich. I admit. I have a bias in support of cases like these. They're provide adequate cushioning without taking up much more space than the system itself. This one even has places to hold games (at least 8) and some extra styli. The downside with cases like these is because they strive to keep things trim, they avoid making room for other portable system necessities like a charger and headphones. Oh well, plan ahead and charge up.
