Hey Hey My My Neil Young Ukulele Cover

I'm a big time surfer. When I say big time, that doesn't mean I'm a pro surfer it means that I love surfing. My work and family obligations allow me to surf every Saturday and it's my day of heaven and relaxation.

After I surf I also do a live video which I call the "Beach Jam." I always love to have special guests perform with me when possible and today I have the talented Ted Furusawa.

Ted and I meet at the beach a few weeks ago. We happen to be parked right next to each other and he saw me do my live beach jam. Afterwards, he introduced himself to me and said he plays guitar and ukulele as well. We exchanged numbers and went on our own way.

I contacted Ted the night before and said you want to jam some ukulele with me. He said, "yes." I was super psyched about playing with him.

The next day we saw each other out in the water surfing and have a few hours of fun it was time to come and play.

The song for today was, Hey Hey My My by Neil Young. Ted had never heard this song or ever played it. So what you hear is Ted jamming some cool lead lines with me and this is the first time he has ever played the song. Pretty incredible.

As I listen back I can hear I'm a bit loud during his solos, so a lesson learned. When playing with others, make sure that you can always hear your partner and chances are no matter how quiet you are, you could still be quieter.
