Squid Game: The Challenge | Announcement | Reality TV Show Coming to Netflix

Netflix is launching a reality show based on the series "The Squid Game. According to the plot of the series, the characters played a survival game in which those who failed to cope with the tasks awaited death. Participants in reality TV shows are waiting for Challenges based on the "Squid Game", but if they lose, they simply do not receive a cash prize.

Like the series, there will be 456 players on the reality show, and the winner will win $4.56 million. Netflix said it will be the biggest cash prize in the history of the reality show.

"The Squid Game" captivated the world due to director Hwang's compelling story. We turn a fictional world into reality in this competition and social experiment.

Fans of 'The Squid Game' will have an exciting and unpredictable journey as our 456 real-world contestants engage in the biggest competition in history, full of tension and unexpected twists, with the biggest cash prize at stake in history," said the president of Netflix.

Casting is open to residents of any country who speak English fluently. Filming of the show will take place in the UK. The date of the start of filming is not known yet.

Earlier Netflix announced the second season of the series "Squid Game". A video announcing the new season has been published on the company's Twitter.
