ATMBKK 2024: Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2024 🇹🇭 My 2nd 10k Through the Streets of Bangkok

As I haven't been traveling much lately between teaching in Bangkok full time and running in my free time, I decided to take my GoPro with me on my 10k and show you all the fun! My first ever 10k was this same race (the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok) back in 2022 when I lived in Bangkok before. I decided to run it again this year to see if I could finish a second time without walking! My weekends have been spent running at Benjakitti Park in Bangkok as well as lots of 6am wake ups to run a couple kilometers before work. On race day (December 1st, 2024) I woke up at 4am to get ready! I left my apartment at 4:30am to take the MRT to Sanam Chai - the closest MRT station to the race. Just like last time - it was an amazing experience to run through the streets of Bangkok! It isn't often that you get to see Bangkok streets with no cars, running past temples and palaces as the sun rises! It's even better to be able to do it with 35,000 other people! This year was extra special as Eliud Kipchoge (world record marathon runner and olympic champion) also ran the 10k!!! ATMBKK has a full marathon (42 km) option, as well as a half marathon (21 km), 10k, and 4.5k. There were so many people participating in the race with their children or just walking in general to experience the amazing atmosphere. I definitely recommend taking part in the ATMBKK next year!!! Hopefully I'll be there again too 🥰
