This map's name comes from Matthew 13:49. It reads "So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just."
E4M3 is another map that I used to hate with passion in the past and got to like it recently. It's not a bad map on HMP despite it having a bug because of which you cannot get 100% secrets (since two secret sectors are blocked by torches in the wooden room with the also bugged switch).
It starts with a lot of action right at the beginning which is a nice thing. It's not too much of a problem that you have nowhere to hide at the start as there's plenty of health and ammo on this map so you can just keep it going.
However it is one of the maps where the ability to look up and down would make life A LOT easier, especially since hitting an enemy above or below yourself in the distance is very unlikely (DooM's autoaim doesn't really work on distant targets). But yeah, actually we are just spoiled by modern source ports. This here is how it was meant to be, this the real thing!
