Life On Mars?

NASA's rover may have found signs of ancient life on Mars.**

Not aliens. Not fossils.

But something scientists call potential “biosignatures.”

Here’s what that means:

NASA’s Perseverance rover has been exploring a dried-up lakebed on Mars since 2021.
It recently found a rock called Cheyava Falls inside Jezero Crater.
That rock has minerals and organic molecules that, on Earth, are often linked to signs of past life.

This doesn’t mean there was life on Mars.

But it is the strongest chemical clue we’ve found.

The sample, named “Sapphire Canyon,” shows patterns and textures that suggest complex chemistry.

And maybe—millions of years ago—microbes.

Scientists are excited, but cautious.

Because chemistry like this can happen without life too.

So NASA will keep digging.

But if confirmed, this would change everything we know about life in the universe.
