Dr. Lars Clemensen, Superintendent for Schools, Hampton Bays Union Free School District, Wendy Pearson, Stony Brook Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Executive Director of Stony Brook Southampton and Dr. Mary Reese, Executive Dean and Chief Operating Officer, Suffolk County Community College’s Eastern Campus join Heart of The East End Gianna Volpe on WLIW-FM to talk about the new Sharks and Seawolves at Stony Brook Southampton partnership between Stony Brook University and Suffolk County Community College designed to strengthen the educational and career pathways for East End students and residents. It offers fully-accredited, transferable classes at the Stony Brook Southampton campus for high school students, current college students and adults interested in returning to college. Starting Monday, January 26, 2026, this program offers three classes, two taught by Suffolk faculty and one by Stony Brook faculty in one location.
