HOTKEYS

Alt + S - Size Hair Strand Segments
CTRL + T - Rotate / Twist Hair Segments

S - Size | Pair with G+(Axis such as X,Y,Z to control in which direction it moves, quickly)
G - Move | Pair with G+(Axis such as X,Y,Z to control in which direction it moves, quickly)
R - Rotate | Pair with R+(Axis such as X,Y,Z to control in which direction it rotates, quickly)
CTRL to move in increments

E - Extrude | Adds in an extra segment when using a path, or an extra face in general
A - Selects all
Alt+Z - Xray Mode
Shift + D - Duplicate Objects
L - Selects all linked faces / vertices
P - Seperate Selected Objects
Ctrl + L - Helps in linking materials, copying modifiers to different objects quickly and more.

Proportional Editing - Its the round ringy thing here, helps you move multiple vertices quickly and smoothly. (When you use G/R or any moving tool)
