Most players make huge betting mistakes with weak top pair hands. Are you typically betting the turn again, or checking behind and slowing down? And if you do bet again, do you go for 3 streets of value or check the river behind? Let's review a $1/$2 #poker hand where we had to make a similar decision with QT on a board of T42-3.
In this video, James "SplitSuit" Sweeney reviews a hand from VLOG #10. Hero isolates a weaker player with QT from the cutoff, gets 2 calls, and flops TPWK on T42. Just the weak player calls and they check again on a 3. Hero continues betting and ends up getting check-raised - but did Hero make a mistake by barreling the turn in the first place? Major concepts include streets of value, runouts, equity realization, and line comparison.
