2025 has been kind of an insane year for kart racers. Mario Kart World, followed by Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, then rounding out the year with Kirby Air Riders!
There genuinely hasn't been a miss with these games! Just... I guess, disappointment? I'm not sure if that's the right word, but Mario Kart World really fell behind once the competition came out. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds BLEW UP out of nowhere before AND after it released!
But the competition wasn't even JUST Sonic. Oddly enough, Kirby released and ALSO swept away the competition. So in a sense, Nintendo was competing with... Nintendo!
